Just now, getting ready for bed, she asks:
“Why can’t we see the words that come out when we are talking?”

Would you like to see a picture of the yummiest yarn in the land? Yes? Okay:

You are jealous of me, yes? Would you like to see it again, in all it’s glorious beauty? Okay, one last time:

It is a handpainted, self striping *washable* merino/tencel blend, made by the amazingly talented girl behind Kama Suutra Fiber Arts And she made it just for me! Squee! Rue is the kind of person who colors flock to. They say, “Oh Rue, you are so wonderful I shall do whatever you please,” and she says, “All right then, look FABULOUS.” And so they do. Any color, any combination, no matter what, this lady makes it look not just good but gorgeous. It is all I can do to not squish it constantly.

In other, less fibery news, I got a free ticket to The Proclaimers last night at the Iron Horse! It was great! I had 2 pints of Shock Top and got to hang out AT NIGHT. With PEOPLE. Yay me!

Also, I am right now shirking my fundraising duties, so I must get back to it. Saturday is Audrey’s preschool’s Silent Auction Gala, and I just overspent my budget on silver lame because the theme is The Future and I had to go get all kitchy about my decorating duties. But it will look fabulous, and there are tons of really great things up for auction, and last year we all got really drunk and had a great time, so I am really looking forward to it.

Oh, and here is Audrey dressed as a black butterfly, outside in public:

Today we were watching Martha Speaks, and the title of the episode comes on, with a drawing of Martha with a chef’s hat on. Audrey says, “Martha the Chef,” pauses, then, “No. Martha Bakes. Buh. Bakes.” Which is of course exactly what it says. It says that, with the words that are with the letters that She Is Reading. Because of the Geniusness.
