I have one of the Sweethearts, with the original tags still stapled inside. It’s made in the late 40′s or 50′s. I don’t really know cause I can’t find on here anywhere when they were made. I can tell aged wood by what color it is and the texture. I’m an old country boy. I would like to know the value. It is in 96% condition. closer to 98 but has 4 dings that can be fixed, but I won’t mess with furniture, it gives it character.
Brad-
I got this for a steal at an antique store for $75. I looked them up and they usually go for around $200-$300 or so on ebay. Mine does have a minor scratch on it, totally fixable. Unless you are just looking to make a quick buck, I would just keep it because they are fabulous, or sell it to a knitter or wool-haver, who will love it forever.
Mid-century cedar…love it!
